Equipment Maintenance Technician
 
As one of the Equipment Maintenance Technicians at BRIDG, Lou Pomales brings with him more than 35 years of experience in the semiconductor fabrication industry.

 

Prior to BRIDG, Pomales spent two years as a Senior Semiconductor Equipment Technician at Intersil Corporation, a semiconductors and related device manufacturer located in Palm Bay, Fla.

 

Pomales began his career with IBM in 1979 in Fishkill, N.Y. as a line operator. During his 15 years at IBM, he held a variety of manufacturing and equipment maintenance positions. In 1995, he left IBM and began a new position as a FSE with Applied Materials at the Lucent/Cirent/Agere fab in Orlando, Fla. During his time there, he also covered for vacationing Amat FSE’s in fabs around the country. As a result of his travels, Pomales has had the opportunity to see how fabs like IBM, Intel, Motorola, Kodak and many others maintain their facilities.

 

Pomales’ education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management from Warner University in Lake Wales, Fla. He also holds two Associate of Applied Science degrees, one in Computer Integrated Manufacturing and one in Electromechanical Technology from Dutchess Community College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
